About Briarlea Care Home
With just 27 single permanent en-suite bedrooms we provide a small cosy home with a wonderful family feel where everyone can enjoy a relaxed and fulfilling life. Briarlea is a family run business with a loving and caring ethos where residents are encouraged to make the most of every day and live life to the full, with the assistance of a caring team of staff.
We also have 2 dedicated respite bedrooms, so you can book a short stay of a few days to several weeks when family are taking a holiday, or you want some ‘me’ time. We also offer day care when families need to know you are safe and being cared for by our great team.
Briarlea is spacious with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the day. There is a modern large garden room with windows all round and ramped access to our garden with furniture for cream teas, plus separate dining room to enjoy home cooked food. There is also a quiet library where we hold weekly film afternoons with ice creams and popcorn, or try the beautifully appointed drawing room to enjoy tea and cake whilst chatting to
other residents.
We have a daily activities programme that includes group sessions like quizzes, sing-a-longs, cookery, bingo, fitness sessions and visiting entertainers, but also many individually tailored activities such as foot spas, nail painting, draughts, chess, card games, knitting, flower planting, sit and chat and pretty much anything our residents wish to do.
Most staff have been at Briarlea for over 10-years creating a highly experienced and professional team who know all of our residents well and can offer a very tailored and personalised level of care, in a welcoming and friendly environment. As well as providing care for permanent residents, Briarlea also offers respite and day care. There is a dedicated member of staff for creating interesting activities for residents and most bedrooms offer single en-suite accommodation.
