About the company
Fosse Way Honey is a honey production company originally started in the 1980s by beekeeper John Home, who lived in Harbury, Warwickshire. He supplied farmers markets and many shops including our own delicatessen in Leamington Spa.
When John was looking to retire in 2005, we offered to buy the business if John could work with us for a couple of years to show us the ropes. John’s help and advice were invaluable as beekeeping on a large scale is quite complicated.
We now operate the business from our base in the northern Cotswolds and currently have apiaries situated in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire.
In addition to the honey, we offer our excellent beeswax furniture polish, a selection of gifts which incorporate our jams and marmalades – and more recently our new range of meads. Our first mead – ‘Cotswold Buzz’ – is made by fermenting local honey with the spring water which rises on the farm.
We are also developing more alcoholic drinks including some with added fruits and botanicals.
